Living nearby busy commercial areas might not be everyone favourite. Among the issues associated with USJ 6 area is traffic woes which is very critical at this point and security concern, as it might lead to outsiders coming into the neighborhood very easily. Adding to that, residents have to deal with the many cars parked in the neighborhood which made the space on the roads narrow. In 2009, there was a major issue, famously known as the "Telekom land scandal" in USJ 6 whereby the residents against the proposed development of a 9-storey commercial building. The plot of land was marked as utilities, and not for commercial use, which was then converted into commercial. The issue seemed to calm down by itself as there is no construction work ongoing on the site. In 2013, construction of the high-rise office building began.The terraces in USJ 6 are relatively affordable compared to its surrounding neighborhoods like USJ 5, USJ 9 and USJ 11 because they have smaller built-up and land sizes. These houses are pretty aged so it needs at least another RM100,000 to make the houses look new.
