Taman Subang Mewah is a residential and industrial area located in USJ 1. It is located along Persiaran Subang Mewah parallel to the Klang River. The residential areas are mainly small terrace houses, flats, apartments and condominiums, whereas the industrial areas comprises of link factories and semi-detached factories.Taman Subang Mewah is also situated just off the KESAS (Shah Alam) Highway, which also connects to the LDP (Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong) and also the Federal Highway. All journeys are within 5 to 10 minutes drive from the area. The popular Chinese vernacular school, Chee Wen is located in Taman Subang Mewah.Along with shop lots and a nearby low-cost housing, the area of Taman Subang Mewah spans across many roads (USJ 1/1 to USJ 1/33). Nearby Taman Subang Mewah is also a light industrial area, known as Taman Industri Subang, which is popular for electrical and engineering businesses and other industries as well. There are a large variety of properties available within Taman Subang Mewah, from light industrial to shop offices, flats, apartments and double-storey low-density properties. Although it is not as prestigious and expensive as other neighborhoods in Subang Jaya, there are many amenities available along with a petrol station and quick access to Puchong via the Kesas highway. Some of the properties in Taman Subang Mewah may look quite old and worn out but some units may have been upgraded and renovated. Property value has also appreciated with new developments in USJ 1. The latest development within the enclave is Empire Remix, a development comprises of Grade A offices, SoHos, serviced apartments and a premier shopping mall. Also, there is an LRT extension development set to be completed in 2014 near Taman Subang Mewah. When all these developments are completed, it would increase the value of the properties in Taman Subang Mewah. The traffic congestion is pretty bad during rush hours in the morning and evening. However, the local authority is proposing a bridge linking from USJ 1 to KESAS Highway to reduce the congestion. Hopefully, the LRT extension could also ease the problem.
