The whole township of Bandar Kinrara was developed since 1991, and is expected to be fully developed by 2014. It is among maiden projects in Puchong, which consists 1,904 acres of freehold land. There will be a total of 16,779 residential units developed in the township. There are nine housing estates in Bandar Kinrara, namely BK1, BK2, BK3, BK4, BK5, BK6, BK7, BK8 and BK9. As for BK6 to BK9, they are still under construction. Latest developments in the vicinity are mostly bungalows, semi-Ds and terrace houses. There are also a number of developments next to Bandar Kinrara being carried out by other developer. Good news – the proposed Ampang LRT extension line beginning from the Sri Petaling station will be passing through Bandar Kinrara and Puchong before ending at Putra Heights. But the exact location of the LRT stations has yet to be confirmed. But rumors said it is going to be built within BK1 and BK6 estates – which is most probably near Giant Kinrara.
