In July 2013, the owner of the parking lot surrounding Sea Park Apartment started demanding RM8 a day from the residents of Sea Park Apartments. When the residents refused to pay up, the owner of this parking lot dug up the tarred roads using an excavator. There is currently a pending legal action against this owner of the surrounding parking lot. It is also common for a small portion of the owners to not pay maintenance fees, making it unfair for the ones who do pay. It was documented that one particular unit owed up to RM35,000 in the year 2006. It is also noteworthy that units located on the ground floor tend to have a higher price.
