The closes school being SK Taman Medan, followed by SMK Taman Dato Harun, SK Taman Dato Harun and SRJK (C) Sungai way. There is also Klinik Kesihatan Daerah Petaling for medical purposes. PJS 2 is prominent visible from several major highways servicing the enclave, namely NPE which provides direct access to the enclave. Other major highways include Federal highway, NPE, Kesas highway and NKVE. The enclave is also serviced by few public transportation such as KTM Seri Setia, KTM Setia Jaya and Bus Terminal Jalan Othman.

    PJS 2 has a wide range of developments suitable for almost everyone. From low-cost flats and apartments to medium-high end residential cum commercial developments, surely there is something here that would appeal. PJ South have also been divided into 2 sections, namely PJ Old town and PJ New town.This enclave is claimed to be an up and coming prime area largely due to many new developments occurring within the vicinity. It is only a matter of time until PJS 2 becomes highly sought after considering that it is surrounded by many established townships. A few months ago, there was a controversial issue regarding the urban renewal proposal which sees that low-cost flats around the area are revamped as well as an addition of recreational facilities namely a new all-purpose hall, a herb garden and a children’s play area. The project involves an overall RM10 billion plan to 'breath life' back to one of the flats (Maju Jaya). On a lighter note, residents of PJS 2 have reason to rejoice over the toll-rate reduction from RM1.60 to RM 1 which was proposed early 2011. The reduction have allowed commuters to travel to and fro KL City centre along the New Pantai Expressway stretching 19.5 kilometers with breeze.
