SS6 is a commercial hub with substantial community facilities located in Kelana Jaya. It comprises commercial and residential developments. The only residential in SS6 are Kelana Parkview, Kelana Sentral serviced apartment and PKNS flats, as well as police and custom quarters. Residents of Kelana Sentral serviced apartment are mostly UNITAR students. In fact, the university leased a number of the units for their students. As for Kelana Parkview, most of the residents are working professionals. There are plenty of landed properties nestled surrounding the vicinity in SS5, SS4 and SS4. These areas house semi-detached, bungalow and link houses. Traffic congestion in the area surrounding SS6 is quite bad and busy at most times. Traffic jam along LDP is terrible during peak hours, from 7 to 10 am, and from 4 to 9 pm. In 2013, the Paradigm will be completed and the traffic congestion seems to get worse. Residential in the surrounding area are highly in demand because of the amenities, university and offices located in SS6.
