SS6 is a commercial hub with substantial community facilities located in Kelana Jaya. It comprises commercial and residential developments. In fact, it is the main commercial centre of the entire Kelana Jaya, serving a number of residential neighborhoods surrounding it including SS3, SS4, SS5, SS7.Being the commercial hub of Kelana Jaya, there are plenty amenities located in the neighborhood of SS6. Giant Mall Kelana Jaya is located right next to Damansara Puchong Expressway in SS6. There are police station, post office, Kastam Diraja Mosque, food court, and community polyclinic nestled in SS6. Furthermore, several bank branches are located in SS6, namely Bank Islam, RHB Bank, Maybank, CIMB Bank and Al-Rajhi Bank – all located in Glomac Square Kelana Jaya commercial centre. A number of kopitiams such as Old Town Kopitiamm and PappaRich, together with other restaurants can be found in Kelana Mall. There are two universities/institutions residing in the neighborhood, namely Tun Abdul Razak University (UNITAR) and Food Institute of Malaysia (FIM). Besides that, there are a number of colleges nearby such as Kolej Damansara Utama (KDU), Kolej Bandar Utama (KBU) and Malaysia University of Science Technology (MUST). SMK Kelana Jaya is located right next to SS6, in SS4B. In addition, there are Yamaha Music School, Royal Custom complex and Tabung Haji complex residing in the enclave. Accessibility wise, SS6 can be easily accessible from Damansara Puchong Expressway (LDP). It is also nearby SPRINT Highway, NKVE and Federal Highway. Moreover, it is few hundred meters away from Kelana Jaya LRT station.

    The only residential in SS6 are Kelana Parkview, Kelana Sentral serviced apartment and PKNS flats, as well as police and custom quarters. Residents of Kelana Sentral serviced apartment are mostly UNITAR students. In fact, the university leased a number of the units for their students. As for Kelana Parkview, most of the residents are working professionals. There are plenty of landed properties nestled surrounding the vicinity in SS5, SS4 and SS4. These areas house semi-detached, bungalow and link houses. Traffic congestion in the area surrounding SS6 is quite bad and busy at most times. Traffic jam along LDP is terrible during peak hours, from 7 to 10 am, and from 4 to 9 pm. In 2013, the Paradigm will be completed and the traffic congestion seems to get worse. Residential in the surrounding area are highly in demand because of the amenities, university and offices located in SS6. Most property investors are making either high rental yield or high capital appreciation. Some are making even both. Nonetheless, properties in the area are great for investment.
