Taman Greenwood is one of the more established residential townships in Gombak which can be found between the interchanges of Jalan Batu Caves and Karak Highway. The district of Gombak itself borders KL to the South-East and Genting Highlands to the East. Both Gombak and KL, along with some other districts in Selangor, are located within the Klang Valley. There are other residential enclaves that cater to the growing population which can be found near to Taman Greenwood such as Taman Gombak Ria, Taman Samudra and Taman Desa Minang. Since the location of Gombak is considered to be strategic, seeing as there is a major highway from that district which leads directly to the KL city centre, allowing for residents to enjoy such convenient access. In addition, there are also other amenities which are nearer to home such as convenience stores, educational institutions, places of worship and hypermarkets. All of these allow for residents' peace of mind. Some examples of the educational institutions which can be found for the residents to send their offspring to would be SMK Seri Gombak, SK Taman Selasih and Unikop College. Convenience stores like 7 Eleven and Popular Fruits Shop provide for all the daily grocery needs of residents. Giant and Tesco are two of the nearest hypermarkets for an alternative place. To fulfil religious duties, there are places such as the Masjid Ar-Rahimah, Surau Al-Ikhwan and a little further off is the famous Hindu Temple in Batu Caves. Gombak is also home to an aboriginal Orang Asli settlement, where the National Aboriginal Museum is located.Accessibility-wise, there is the Duta-Ulu Kelang Highway which is situated directly opposite the development. This highway connects or branches off to other major roads, notably the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), Jalan Gombak, Jalan Duta, North-South Highway and Mahameru Highway to name but a few. Residents will therefore have ease of access to many places via these linkages. For residents who do not have a mode of transportation, there is the RapidKL network of buses such as those which depart from the Taman Melati and Terminal Putra stations, which allow for residents to gain access to the LRT.

Analysis
With so many forms of amenities within easy reach and such direct access to either the KL city centre or the rest of Selangor, residents of Taman Greenwood are indeed lucky to be located in an enviable neighborhood. Couple with the fact that this development is freehold will of course be an appealing factor for the young urbanites and seasoned home owners who are looking to have a property that is away from the fast-paced city life, yet near enough to be able to access all that the city has to offer. However, there is of course the drawback of living so close to one of the major highways in Selangor. Residents will have to put up with a constant amount of airborne pollution, let alone the noise levels from the vehicles that traverse the road on a daily basis. In addition, there is also the traffic snarls which are bound to occur during the peak periods when commuters are going to and from work.
