Mutiara Condominium is a complex at the foothills of Taman Bukit Indah. It comprises of 4 low-rise walk-up apartments and a higher block closest to the guardhouse. It was developed by the venerable SP Setia in the 90's, and was marketed with the tagline "Come Home to Nature". The high-rise block at Mutiara Condominium has 11 floors, and the higher floors have clear unblocked views of the KLCC Twin Towers. This is on days that the city itself is not sometimes covered by a layer of visible smog. Which makes staying on the outskirts of the city a kind of relief. Air is dewy fresh in the mornings, from the lush trees at the back of the condominium and the sounds of birds are sometimes audible. Facilities at Mutiara Condominium include a small but newly refurbished blue-tiled pool with a rock waterfall feature at one end. Behind this rock wall is a squash court, and nearby is a basic gym. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the KL Elevated Highway on-ramp at Flamingo Hotel, after which KLCC is just a quick fuss-free and traffic light-free 5 minutes away. However, during peak hours it might take up to 30 minutes.

  • Analysis

The management of Mutiara Condominium is arguably excellent, taken care of by a committed residents' committee, resulting in good security and responsive maintenance. The condominium facade and common areas were repainted in 2010. Landscaping is well taken care of, and fogging carried out on schedule. Car entry at the condo is by a card access system, with transponder-like capability which means drivers do not have to wind down their window to have the access card detected by the auto-gate.Mutiara Condominium faces a little park, where in the mornings residents of Bukit Indah can be seen to enjoy their morning exercise, and in the evenings the neighborhood kids play some kickabout football. Broadband access is available at Mutiara Condominium, which includes Streamyx, and covered by most wireless broadband providers, including DiGi, Maxis and P1. There are 2 mini markets in the neighborhood commercial area, with car workshops and even a Caltex. For those who need their golf fix, the affordable Kelab Darul Ehsan boasts a driving range by a lake, and a 9-hole course just a short drive away in nearby Taman TAR. In Feb 2011, a unit reportedly transacted for RM180,0000. Other apartments in the area include Emerald (more expensive) and Jade Apartments (cheaper).
