The location of Gurney Park is just within a stone's throw away from Gurney Plaza. Due to this matter, the residents have to bear with unpleasant noise from the shopping center activities and bustling crowd in the area. The noise from the mall is sometimes intolerable which normally occurs during festive seasons, weekends and school holidays due to events held in the mall. Besides that, these crowds also prefer to park their cars on the roadside in front of Gurney Park to escape from paying parking fee. For the time being, residents of Gurney Park can still enjoy to the mesmerizing view of seaside and Penang Bridge even though some view has been blocked by The Regency, which located between Gurney Park and the beach side. But as Gurney Paragon development is currently under construction, it is without doubts that the view will be blocked by unpleasant look of another condominium wall. Moreover, the residents will also getting fewer sea breezes into the house as the building will be standing in-front of the condominium. Higher units which facing north-west would have better unblocked view of the sea even in the near future. But they will also suffering unpleasant view of Christian graveyard on the west side of Gurney Park which situated opposite of Gurney Plaza. With the construction of Gurney Paragon just beside the condo, the residents have to bear with all the noise pollution from the construction works until its completion which is scheduled in 2010. Once Gurney Paragon is completed, the noise problem will not solved entirely, as residents will suffer noise from the new shopping center next door which is part of the development.
