Its residential neighborhoods are Gambir Heights, Jade View and the affluent neighborhood of Palace Hill.Bukit Gambir is easily accessible from the Northbound (Georgetown) and Southbound (Bayan Lepas) through the Jelutong Expressway which can be accessed via the ramp near Tesco Penang (nearby Bukit Dumbar). There are Rapid Penang Buses with the number of 301 and 302 pass through Jalan Bukit Gambir.

    Cygal Properties is a subsidiary of Cygal Bhd. It is found that the company is classified under PN4 company on Bursa Malaysia. Somehow, the company is restructuring now and it has completed some projects like apartments and terrace houses in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. The construction of Ideal Regency was approved by the Kementerian Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan in year 2005, so it is good to invest.The interior materials used in Ideal Regency all are from White House and bathroom stuffs are from Johnson Suisse. Both are branded and quality materials. Besides, the developer has made many upgrades on the units, like extra lighting points and bathroom wall tiles (from 7 feet high extending all the way up to ceiling). Furthermore, the SPA area also will be extended from built-up area of 950 to 1200 sf once OC is obtained.Even though the total units at Ideal Regency are 258 units, but the car park bays are only around 500. It might be insufficient for the residents. Besides, this condominium can only be accessed through the main road, Jalan Gelugor and it takes 5 minutes to and from the main road. Bukit Gambier was developed for housing, many who bought there considered the place as located "out of town". The area was only established in the early 2000, as demand for residential properties pushed development towards the hill sides. A large part of the campus of Universiti Sains Malaysia is also located within Bukit Gambier.Also within the areas nearby, there are many used-cars dealers of which one can actually get used cars (especially local made and models) at a very reasonable price, and also dealers of exclusive and imported car models. There are morning markets, wet markets and evening / night markets (Pasar Malam) at the nearby areas especially in Taman Tun Sardon. A famous 'chee cheong fun' stall can be found in a Chinese coffee shop in Gelugor. There is a temple at the roadside and sometimes they will have some annual events until midnight. So it might be for you to fall sleep hardly when there is an event there. Anyway, it was told by the developer that the temple will be moved to the opposite of Jalan Gambier as there will be a road built via this temple to the entrance of Ideal Regency.
