Taman Sri Idaman is located in a heavily populated residential area within Air Itam, in a fairly busy part of town. Banks are literally within a minute's walking distance from home, with a Shell petrol station neighbouring the apartment and a surau fronting the homes with schools down the street. Due to these factors, traffic tends to get heavy during peak hours on Jalan Air Hitam, especially directly outside the apartments; which would cause some residents some serious irritation.As can be seen from the above, the Taman Sri Idaman neighbourhood is not what would be considered peaceful and serene; in fact more often than not, residents will hear the angry honkings of irate drivers. This is, however, the norm for a city dweller, and some residents might even be comfortable with the noise and pollution in return for the easy convenience they have daily.Taman Sri Idaman has seemed to some to be an excellent investment for the long run as it is well located close to the city centre of Penang, as well as being freehold on an island that is quickly running out of land. However, those who are looking for a home and would rather stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city would do better to look elsewhere.
