KUALA LUMPUR: The slowdown in the local property market has seen many developers struggling to launch projects or even sell their units.
Some, such as Zalam Group’s residential development, Cloudtree Residence, however, still continue to buck the trend.
The first phase comprising four tower blocks and 16 town villas perched on a hill peak in Cheras South has been fully sold since its launch in 2014, said Zalam Corp Sdn Bhd managing director Ho Lee Beng.
“All units have been taken up and we’ve already launched the second phase, which consists of one tower block,” he told StarBiz during an interview. “So far, about 71% of the second phase has been sold,” Ho said, adding that the sole tower block within the phase consists of 259 units.
He said the group expected the second phase to be fully taken up within the next few months. Ho attributed the good take-up rate to the freehold project’s location and unique design. The inspiration behind the development of the project were the owners of the Zalam Group, who are firm believers of healthy living.
“The owners are passionate about building homes that co-exist with Mother Nature by incorporating eco elements into Cloudtree Residence where all residents get to enjoy green living at its most exclusive - calming and serene.
“We have engaged a team of experts that consisted of architects and consultants,” added Ho.
