KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer UEM Sunrise Bhd is planning to bring about physically-distanced cheer during the Chinese New Year period with a virtual open house on the company’s website. 

Users can navigate to different rooms in each project via virtual 360° show unit tours, accompanied by a chief happiness officer digital avatar. 

“Despite the current movement control order (MCO), we still aim to bring the festive cheer and spirit of Chinese New Year to the public and our customers right to their homes through our attractive rewards and fun-filled digital content,” said UEM Sunrise chief marketing officer Kenny Wong.

UEM Sunrise is collaborating with popular content creator and comedian Harvinth Skin who will be featured in a series of videos as a feng shui master – Master See Beh Huat. 

The No 1 Indian Feng Shui Master will share his pearls of wisdom on how everyone can find prosperity and happiness in the coming Year of the Ox with some property and interior design tips and tricks, peppered with thigh-slapping hilarity. 

Meanwhile, a Chinese New Year campaign promising stress-free benefits, rebates and lucky draw goodies worth up to RM38,888 for homebuyers will run in tandem with the open house.

Themed #MustCariOng, the campaign is to serve as a spark of positivity and good festive cheer during the ongoing movement control order to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A series of digital activities are being rolled out to put a smile on the public and homebuyers’ faces.
