PETALING JAYA: UEM Sunrise Berhad (UEM Sunrise) has entered into a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Kii Morris Sdn Bhd for the disposal of a parcel of land for a cash consideration of approximately RM82mil.
According to the statement by the company, the 29-acre freehold land is located off Lebuh Kota Iskandar and is within a prime area of Iskandar Puteri, with excellent connectivity and easy access to major highways and arterial roads.
“We are very pleased to welcome Kimlun into the list of our strategic partners. They share the same vision for Iskandar Puteri to become the largest fully integrated urban development in Southeast Asia.
“The transaction is a manifestation of confidence by Kimlun of Iskandar Puteri’s proposition. As the master developer of Iskandar Puteri, we remain optimistic about the future of the region, and we look forward to work and collaborate with more reliable partners to achieve it,” said UEM Sunrise managing director and chief executive officer Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib.
The upcoming High-Speed Rail station is anticipated to be located in Gerbang Nusajaya, which is at the heart of Iskandar Puteri and the gateway to Iskandar Malaysia, making it within proximities to excellent infrastructure and quality developments.
These include Kota Iskandar, the administrative centre for the state government of Johor,
EduCity which hosts educational institutions such as Newcastle University Medicine, University of Southampton, and leisure destinations such as Mall of Medini, and Sanrio Hello Kitty Town in Puteri Harbour.
