PETALING JAYA: To celebrate the 2017 Year of The Rooster, Tropicana Golf & Country Resort presents its special Chinese New Year steamboat buffet dinner for members and non-members alike.

The ninth Family Prosperity Steamboat Buffet Dinner will be held from Jan 27 to Feb 12 at the Palm Coffee House, which is located in the Main Wing of Tropicana Golf & Country Resort Clubhouse.

There will also be a lion dance performance at the golf wing’s car porch at 7.30pm on Feb 4 (Saturday).

The Specialty 2017 steamboat buffet comes with a complimentary prosperity lunar year salad (“Yushang”) for reservation of diners up 10pax. The long-held tradition of tossing prosperity lunar year salad features a diverse array of ingredients that are mixed and tossed by all in hopes for a bountiful and prosperous 2017.

During this festive and memorable Golden Rooster New Year, Tropicana Golf & Country Resort will offer three special prosperity lunar new salads, namely soft shell crab, kim chi with nian gao and snow pear with Fruity Lunar year salad for dine-in or take away.

The base for the steamboat buffet consists of three soup selections: tom yam, clear broth and herbal soup.

Also included in the buffet are Chinese New Year hot and cold combinations appetizers, chef’s recipe of marinated meats, varieties of steamboat seafood, fish, chicken balls, fresh vegetables, bean curd, noodles, rice, sauces and condiments.

There will also be Tropicana Prosperity Live Stalls such as famous D24 durian cendol, roasted chicken and duck rice stall, succulent live barbeque activity fried “Nian Gao”, aromatic wok fried radish cake with duck egg and belacan and an assorted dessert range to wish everyone blessings with the beginning of a new year.

Specially planned for the 2017 Prosperity Menu are items such as Prosperity Crispy Roasted Duck, Wealth Roasted Pei Pa Chicken with Glazed Honey and Sesame, Fortune Steamed Chicken with Ginger Paste, Chili Paste and Soy King Sauce, as well as buttered prawns with salted egg yolk.

For members, the price will be RM72 (adult), RM36 (children) and RM55 (senior citizen), while price per pax for non-members are RM87 (adult), RM44 (children) and RM65 (senior citizen).

In addition, Tropicana also provide private service with outside catering services menu starting from RM48 per person.
