SUBANG JAYA: Tropicana Metropark announced the first six tenants of its new commercial development, SouthPlace Shoppes, which is slated to open its doors at the end of the year. Tropicana Corporation Bhd (Tropicana) signed agreements with anchor tenant Mercato, Anytime Fitness, Health Lane Family Pharmacy, MyNews, Swimology and Hattitude Salon.
Tropicana reported an interest in locating tenancies with a dentist and a lifestyle café. The Tropicana Metropark development has a 9.2-acre Urban Park and access to the federal highway. Tropicana achieved an 85% Quality Assessment System in Construction (Qlassic) score and SouthPlace Residences received a 100% sold-out rate.

Also present were MyNews’ Ong Li Syin, Health Lane Family Pharmacy’s Loh Hey King, Mercato’s Tiger Cheah, Tropicana chief executive officer Ong Chou Wen, Anytime Fitness’ Jayagobi Shanmugam, Swimology’s Farar Emer and Hattitude Salon’s Heng Wee Luen.
Spanning three levels, units at SouthPlace Shoppes range from 491 sq ft to 2,165 sq ft on LG, 276 sq ft to 3,837 sq ft on L1, and 348 sq ft to 7,986 sq ft on L2, with a typical lot measuring 1,665 sq ft. It has a floor-to-floor height of 6m and facilities such as basement parking, lifts, escalators, a playground and baby rooms.
