JOHOR BAHRU: Since 2010, Tropicana Corporation Bhd (Tropicana) has established a strong presence in Johor with developments such as Tropicana Danga Bay, Danga Cove and Uplands. Today, Tropicana announces its latest project: The 163-acre Lido Waterfront Boulevard, a billion-ringgit mixed-use development aimed at modern living with excellent connectivity and sustainable features.

To kick off this venture, Tropicana held a groundbreaking ceremony with China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) for the first phase, the branded residence Skypark Kepler. CSCEC, a global construction leader with extensive experience, is partnering with Tropicana on this ambitious project.

Located on premium reclaimed land along the waterfront near Singapore, Lido Waterfront Boulevard will include seven key components, namely residential, commercial, wellness, education, hospitality, recreation and lifestyle offerings. Unique features include freehold international zoning, fully furnished flexible units with waterfront views, a 2.5 km boardwalk, Samsung smart home technology, green-certified buildings and enhanced security.

Skypark Kepler will offer premium serviced apartments co-developed with Banyan Group, a global hospitality company. At the groundbreaking event, Tropicana’s chief executive officer Ong Chou Wen highlighted the potential of Johor's growth and the project’s role in transforming the area into a vibrant metropolis, just a short drive from the RTS link.

The development will promote eco-friendly amenities, including a coastal boardwalk, a 32-acre green park, EV charging stations, solar panels and 5G infrastructure. Skypark Kepler, situated on a 4-acre plot, will feature designer units with flexible layouts and exclusive benefits for purchasers, including access to the Banyan Sanctuary Club. The first phase includes two 54-storey towers with 856 units ranging from 667 sq ft to over 2,000 sq ft.

"We are proud to partner with global corporations like CSCEC and Banyan Group to enhance our growth in Johor," Ong stated.

Recently, the property developer announced several positive developments, including a land sale of RM383mil to NTT Data Group and a RM240mil deal with Z Data Group. Additionally, Tropicana celebrated the topping off and full occupancy of the Edelweiss Serviced Residences, SoFo and Shoppes in the Klang Valley. Tropicana manages over 728 acres of premium land in Johor and seeks strategic partners for sustainable development.
