PETALING JAYA: Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd (CGPV) has chosen Trimble Malaysia Sdn Bhd to equip its Industrialized Building System (IBS) base with technology solutions aimed at increasing productivity, efficiency and level of service at the precast plant.
According to the statement, CGPV’s IBS base was announced back in August last year. Trimble’s technology solutions will provide essential fabrication data for the Entreprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that runs the IBS base and integration with Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes, among others.
Future implementation will streamline operational flow at the factories from design phase to fabrication and downstream quality assurance/quality control inspection. It is to optimise the entire supply chain workflow.
Trimble will also provide customised training to CGPV’s design team and on data integration with the ERP system.
“We are proud to partner Country Garden and provide the solutions they need to accelerate productivity and efficiency. With the use of the Tekla model as the source of information, Country Garden can streamline their workflows, improve communication and have the same consistent information,” said Trimble’s Structures Division general manager Jari Heino.
“The construction sector is crucial to the economic growth of a country. We are committed to supporting the construction industry in Malaysia to realise a more efficient, productive and modernised way of working. Partnerships – both private and public – are key to achieving this; we are delighted to play our part in it,” he added.
“As a developer of a project that takes at least two decades to complete, CGPV emphasises on creating safer and sustainable construction environment,” added Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd chief strategic officer Dr Yu Runze.
