PETALING JAYA: Riverwalk Village, located at Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, formerly known as Jalan Ipoh, recently unveiled its new look.
According to statement, the uplift project, themed Muhibbah (Harmony), was a joint collaboration between AkzoNobel, Dulux, Low Yat Group and The One Academy, saw 118 students from The One Academy taking part to uplift one of Kuala Lumpur’s heritage areas.
“We are honoured to be able to give back to Malaysians by creating a more liveable and inspiring spaces. Through the completion of this project, I can only see the good of what this will create for the Malaysian community in the coming months”, said AkzoNobel Decorative Paints Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei general manager Indra Laban.
“It has been AkzoNobel’s commitment in protecting the human aspect of any city to further reflect in the making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. We believe that our new partnership will make a significant contribution to creating more ‘human’ urban environments”, he added.
Low Yat Group property and business development general manager Jennifer Chow said the collaboration with AkzoNobel, together with The One Academy aims to bring positive vibes to create a more patron plus visitor-friendly environment to Riverwalk Village while providing 118 students with a conducive, participatory learning while being a fun platform to express their creative impression of Jalan Ipoh’s heritage and charm.
“I hoped that this Mural Painting Project will be the starting point for future collaborative endeavours which would transform RiverWalk Village into a creative hub as part of the development of RiverWalk City,” said The One Academy lecturer Fadzilah binti Ahmad.
