A house is a foundation in which a community is built upon. Selling a home is not a one-off process that commonly happens with other products. The more value that developers provide for the residents, the more returns that they will gain, creating a healthy relationship between buyers and sellers.
From providing the best amenities to organising meaningful events to help the less privileged, the following developers have strived hard to cater to their customers and create a prosperous community within their township.
Sunway Property Sdn Bhd
The property arm under Sunway Group Bhd shares the same value with its mother group, focusing on the three critical areas of focus namely healthcare, education and Community Aid, Reach-Out and Enrichment or CARE projects.
Among the initiatives undertaken were the Rise Against Hunger event which saw 60,000 meals being packed by Sunway Iskandar and Sunway International School staffs. More than 1,500 participants also took part at Sunway Iskandar in the “Race for a Better Planet” in conjunction with the World Environment Day (WED), which generated greater awareness on creating a sustainable environment.
Other events included the charity run jointly organised between Sunway Iskandar and Kiwanis Nusajaya to raise funds for the orphanage homes under the organisation. Sunway Iskandar was also a key sponsor for the 14th Johor Off-Road Challenge which was hosted by the Taman Johor Jaya 4 x 4 Club, aimed at helping the charity organisations.
UMLand Bhd
The company is a renowned developer with the different business division under its profile. But when it comes to corporate social responsibilities (CSR), the divisions share the same objectives; to give out as much as they have received.
In collaboration with Hospital Sultanah Aminah (HSA), UMLand Seri Alam organised a blood donation drive at Galleria Seri Alam. The event was part of the “Stay Healthy” campaign that included several activities such as an organ donor registration counter, a Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) Booth, a Health Talk, a unique health refreshment luncheon, a housing loan and insurance corner and Health Living booths.
Spreading the spirit of Ramadhan, UMLand celebrated the holy month with the elderly folks at Pusat Jagaan Mahmudah Malaysia where a mock cheque worth of RM3,000 was presented to the home. Also, several items were distributed and donated in the form of baju raya, goodie bags and raya packets to both the home’s residents and staffs.
Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd (CGPV)
The master developer of the Forest City project has always aspired to share their spillover with the community in Johor, recently allocating RM100,000 to help the less privileged neighbourhood in Forest City, Johor.
With the help of the local village committees and mosque officials, the company has decided to assist 200 orphans and 50 low-income families in Tanjung Kupang in Gelang Patah.
Under their CSR program, few schools in Johor have also been adopted to assist the schools in various ways including personal development, academic and social development. CGPV’s adopted school includes SK Morni Pok, SK Pendas Laut, SK Tanjung Kupang, SK Tiram Duku and SK Tanjong Adang.
