TO mark its 15th anniversary, Home Design and Interior Exhibition (Homedec) will be holding a ‘Homedec Salebration’ at the SPICE Arena in Relau, Penang.
The three-day exhibition will be held from April 7 and it will feature some 170 exhibitors occupying up to 440 booths.
Organised by C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd, the fair will offer visitors the latest household innovations and technologies as well as products and services for home renovation.
C.I.S Network president Datuk Vincent Lim said this year’s event would present 15 years of ideas and inspiration for Malaysian house owners.
He added that Homedec had spearheaded the industry with its refreshing ideas, life-sized show home themes and successful partnerships with leading brands and industry experts.
“Overall, the property renovation market is growing this year.
“Home owners on an average spend between 30% and 50% of their property value to refurbish their homes,” he said.
Lim said the estimated value of renovation for new property in Penang was RM3.75bil.
“This shows positive growth in the home decor and interior design market and can bring about good business for all players in this industry.”
Lim said visitors who spend RM1,500 or above in a single receipt stand to win a 50gm gold bar worth RM10,000.
“The fair will give away 10 gold bars while cash prizes, products and vouchers can be won,” said Lim.
“Visitors who spend a minimum of RM150 can take part in the Homedec contest and win exciting gifts.”
Lim said that about 37,000 people were expected to visit the fair.
The visitors are expected to spend about RM23mil.
Homedec is open from 11am to 9pm and admission is free.
