In a recent survey by StarProperty.my, the nightmares of tenants and landlords have come to light. The survey results are enough proof that there are bad tenants and landlords.
Now, we will let you decide who has had it worse. Here are few terrible experiences of landlords and tenants.
Landlords’ woes:
Case 1:
The tenant manipulated the TNB meter once he moved in two years ago. I found this out after he moved out and I had to wait for nine months to settle this issue with TNB.
Case 2:
The tenant left the unit with badly damaged fixtures and furniture.
Case 3:
The tenant scolded me with foul words and vulgarities when I went to collect the outstanding rental payment and even damaged my furniture by slicing the sofa using a knife.
Tenants’ distress:
Case 1:
The landlord enters my room when I go out and messes with the arrangement of my clothes and personal belongings on the rack every day. She also takes the liberty of picking my laundry, washing and folding them even after being told not to multiple times.
Case 2:
The landlord does not trust me at all. He keeps coming to the house to check if everything is orderly every other weekend.
Case 3:
The landlord took three weeks to return my deposit.
So, who do you think have had it worse? Tenants or landlords?
