PETALING JAYA: TH Properties (TH Prop), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lembaga Tabung Haji and the developer of techpark@enstek at Bandar Enstek hosted a high-level Saudi delegation where the parties discussed collaboration in halal certification, research and development, taking advantage of techpark@enstek’s emergence as a halal cluster.
"We are honored to host the distinguished delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at techpark@enstek," said TH Prop board member Datuk Wan Hashimi Albakri Jaffri. "This visit underscores the importance of international collaboration in advancing the global halal industry. Through shared knowledge and expertise, we aim to drive innovation and excellence in halal products and services."
techpark@enstek is the site for companies and stakeholders involved in the production of halal foods, drinks, ingredients, biopharma and pharmaceutical products including JAKIM’s Malaysia Halal Analysis Centre (MyHAC), the first purpose-built halal laboratory in Malaysia. It is also accredited as HALAL MALAYSIA (HALMAS) Status by the Halal Development Corporation.
Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) chief executive officer Dr Hisham Al-Jadhey who was head of the delegation and who witnessed the Park’s completed infrastructures, said that both parties can work together to create a strong legacy.
“Throughout my visit, I've witnessed an abundance of opportunities in Malaysia's vast and vibrant halal sector. I believe that TH Prop plays a pivotal role in helping redefine and unlock new opportunities for the regional and global halal landscape. Together, we are poised to create a legacy that resonates far beyond borders,” he said.
With robust take-up at the previous two phases of industrial parks at techpark@enstek, TH Prop expects strong and steady demand this year from its newly launched phase 3, bolstered by the continued growth of demand for industrial properties.
