PETALING JAYA: Star-925 sixth series titled, "Rising to the Top of my Career" received positive response from its members, as well as public attendees.
The event participated by an audience of 250 people, featured OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Bhd chief executive officer Ong Eng Bin as the speaker. The event was held last Saturday, at Menara Star.
During the talk, key talking points highlighted by Ong included, “to always say yes when given an assignment by one’s boss, to build good relationship with everybody despite their position in the company, to always learn from good and bad leaders, and to develop outside interests besides work.”
According to Ong, he also encourages young people to stay in one organization for a long time rather than to move from company to company.
“Staying in one company for a long time can be rewarding because the organization is looking at your progress. In cases like these, chances of being offered a promotion to higher positions might be achieved,” Ong told.
The audience was also greeted by a welcoming address by Starproperty Sdn Bhd assistant general manager Ernest Towle and 925 founder cum the author of the best selling book "WHO SAYS" Mark Chua.
Star-925 is a collaboration between StarProperty.my with 925, which is a social enterprise founded by Mark Chua, aiming to improve the career and property investments of its
