PETALING JAYA: Property developer SP Setia Bhd has won the FIABCI World Prix D’Excellence Awards 2024 Heritage Award as part of Malaysian consortium Battersea Powerstation Development Co Ltd for the Batttersea Power station restoration and transformation project in Central London.
In conjunction with the win SP Setia also received a certificate of appreciation from the Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT), presented by its Minister Nga Kor Ming at a ceremony in Putrajaya.
President and chief executive officer Datuk Choong Kai Wai said the group is honoured to receive the recognition, adding, “It is all about how we have managed to preserve its history, façade and old charm while bringing in newness in our offerings, retail mix in the development. This award drives us to continue to push our boundaries in the foreign market.”
SP Setia currently has won a total of 17 FIABCI World Gold Prix d’Excellence Awards, making it the developer with the highest number of FIABCI gold awards.
Also present were KPKT director-general Datuk Jayaselan Navaratnam and secretary-general Datuk Wira Noor Azman Taib.
