PETALING JAYA: SkyWorld Development Group Sdn Bhd recently unveiled the RM3.8mil SkyWorld Quality Centre at SkyArena Setapak, Kuala Lumpur.
The 13,000 sq ft centre boasts ten functional areas such as the SkyWorld lounge, a mini auditorium that can seat 30 persons, a comprehensive show unit consisting of living room, bedroom, yard, balcony, corridor, staircase, kitchen and bathroom.
SkyWorld founder & group managing director Datuk Ng Thien Phing mentioned “As a responsible property developer, we always strive to provide more value-added features to our products. Purchasers are becoming more selective. So besides offering innovative, location-centric and various facilities & amenities, one important aspect is quality assurance. We believe everyone can and should be able to afford quality a home.
“We also spoke to CIDB and found that there are about 7,600 projects and developments completed each year and only 4.1% is quality certified. We want to be a part of the top 4%, and hence the Quality Centre was born to signify our quality pledge to our purchasers. And it is for this reason that we’ve invested RM3.8mil into this centre,” he said in a statement.
He also added that the centre would be used as a training hub for SkyWorld staff, contractors & consultants where they are nurtured to pay close attention to the quality of SkyWorld homes. It is also where SkyWorld welcomes homeowners, students and the public who wish to learn about the quality of certified craft in Malaysia.
“The SkyWorld Quality Centre will help to identify quality shortcomings that homeowners might not be able to identify visually. Important labels will also be included, describing the quality requirements accompanied by comprehensive tutorial videos,” he said.
Present to grace and officiate the grand opening event was Minister of Federal Territories Datuk Seri Utama Tengku Adnan.
The opening ceremony was witnessed by Setiawangsa Member of Parliament Datuk Ahmad Fauzi Zahari, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) executive director of project management Datuk Mahadi Bin Che Ngah, SkyWorld deputy group managing director Lam Soo Keong, chief operating officer Lee Chee Seng, (COO), chief financial officer Andy Leong and representatives from (DBKL), Ministry of Federal Territories (KWP) and Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
