PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Property Bhd employees are set to enjoy enhanced work benefits with the launch of the company’s new family benefit program covering maternity, paternity and marriage support.
Expectant mothers are now entitled to 90 calendar days of paid maternity leave instead of 60, and are allowed shorter working hours during the 7th trimester.
In addition, new fathers will be entitled up to 7 calendar days of paternity leave, an improvement from the 3 calendar days previously.
Now separated from compassionate leave, soon-to-wed employees will also be entitled to 3 working days of marriage leave.
Sime Darby Property Group managing director Datuk Seri Amrin Awaluddin said, “Sime Darby Property’s move to introduce the new family benefit program reflects our understanding of changing family dynamics and the evolving needs of our workforce. We constantly seek to improve our benefits based on feedback from our employees and by being sensitive towards their different needs and preferences.”
