PETALING JAYA: Setia Eco Templer, S P Setia’s latest eco-themed township in Selayang, received an award for design excellence at the Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP) Planning Excellence Award 2016.
“It is always an honour for us to be recognised for our efforts in trying our best to deliver masterpieces such as Setia Eco Templer. As with all Setia’s development, we design the master plan guided by our development philosophy of LiveLeanWorkPlay and our charter of Building Sustainable Communities for All.
“For those who are familiar with Setia, we have been pioneering eco-themed developments since 2004 with our first eco-themed township, Setia Eco Park,” said S P Setia Bhd president and chief executive officer Datuk Khor Chap Jen in a statement.
He received the Design Excellence Award presented by MIP past president Norliza Hashim at the award ceremony held recently.
The Design Excellence award recognises a master plan that has or will have a positive impact on the physical or environmental quality of a place or the economic or social well-being of a community. The overall township design and planning takes into consideration the original land topography which is designed to complement and respect its natural environment.
Setia Eco Templer embraces the naturally scenic beauty of limestone hills, misty mountain, rolling hills, crafted creeks and rainforest reserves thet envelopes the township.
The design enhances the overall ambiance of the township by improving on and beautifying the nine legendary creeks that flow through the development whereby six of them can be found in the Essex Gardens, the first phase of the development.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Team Setia once again for a job well done,” added Khor.
Phase one of Setia Eco Templer, launched this May, is fully sold. It features the English themed architecture design consisting two-storey linked villas, two-storey semi-detached and two-storey bungalows.
The upcoming launch at Setia Eco Templer will include semi-detached homes, linked villas, shop lots and affordable homes which is expected to be set in Q12017.
