SHANGHAI: Seri Pajam Development is presenting its flagship project, SPD Tech Valley at the 2024 China International Import Expo (CIIE), held from Nov 5 to 10, 2024 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai. As Southeast Asia’s first industrial park to receive LEED Gold pre-certification, SPD Tech Valley showcased its achievements in green architecture, smart management and sustainable design, attracting significant attention.
Located in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, SPD Tech Valley sits in a region known for its geographical and strategic advantages, quickly emerging as a prime destination for both international and local business investment.
Strategically situated within Malaysia’s economic corridor, the industrial park is just 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, close to Port Klang, and near Singapore, providing convenient access and low natural disaster risk. This makes it a stable and ideal platform for global companies looking to enter the Southeast Asian market.
SPD Tech Valley is dedicated to serving key industries such as semiconductors, data centres, automotive manufacturing, electronics and electrical (E&E) and green energy. It aims to create an intelligent and sustainable industrial ecosystem that fosters the growth of high-tech and green industries.
At this year’s CIIE, through a master layout model and interactive displays, visitors experienced firsthand how the park uses advanced green technologies and smart management systems to optimise resource utilisation, reduce carbon emissions and help companies operate sustainably.
The park’s 79.95 acres of green space, equipped with a rainwater harvesting system, meets 100% of landscape irrigation needs, projected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50%. The park will have an estimated 64MW solar power system, aiming to save up to 15% on energy costs, fully reflecting Malaysia’s commitment to green and low-carbon development.
“The CIIE is a highly strategic platform, allowing us to connect directly with Chinese businesses and investors, showcasing SPD Tech Valley’s potential to promote industrial cooperation and drive sustainable development between China and Malaysia,” said Seri Pajam Development chief executive officer Ten Wee Seong. “Through this exhibition, we aim to deepen cooperation and jointly contribute to a green transformation of the China-Malaysia economy.”
With intelligent design and green infrastructure, SPD Tech Valley is setting a new standard as a green industrial model for Negeri Sembilan and Malaysia. As one of Southeast Asia’s most forward-looking industrial parks, it has achieved LEED Gold certification, underscoring its excellence in environmental management and resource utilisation.
The park also includes electric vehicle charging stations, smart waste management systems and solar energy infrastructure, fully aligning with ESG values to provide a green operating environment that meets international sustainability standards.
Seri Pajam Development Group will continue to promote deep collaboration between China and Malaysia in high-tech industries and sustainable development, with plans to showcase further innovations at the next CIIE.
By continuously expanding green facilities and introducing smart management technology, SPD Tech Valley will further cement its position as a next-generation industrial ecosystem, offering a platform for innovation and growth.
