PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Property (SDP) has won the highest ranking for the MDA 2024 Top-of-the-Chart Award in the RM1bil and above market capitalisation category and the Best in Quantitative Award in the RM1bil and above market capitalisation category, cementing the company’s industry leader status.
Group managing director Datuk Seri Azmir Merican said: “These recognitions reflect our ongoing commitment to building sustainable communities and delivering value to our stakeholders. Driven by our purpose, we will continue to play our part in elevating Malaysia’s real estate landscape.”
Present at the award ceremony was chief marketing and sales officer Datuk Lai Shu Wei, who received the award presented by the Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming, accompanied by MDA chief judges Prof Yeah Kim Leng and Datuk Jayaselan Navaratnam, International Real Estate Federation FIABCI Malaysian Chapter (FIABCI Malaysia) president Dr Yu Kee Su and Star Media Group chief executive officer Chan Seng Fatt.
The Malaysia Developer Awards, organised annually by Star Media Group and FIABCI Malaysia, recognise excellence in property development by evaluating a company’s financial strength and the quality of its projects. The awards are set to establish the ultimate benchmark of excellence in Malaysia’s property sector.
