Savills Malaysia bags 2 RICS top regional Property awards.
KUALA LUMPUR: Savills Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a full-service property consultancy firm, achieved a double victory at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Southeast Asia Awards 2024. The prestigious awards ceremony, held on October 23 at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, saw the company achieving top honours in two major categories, namely the RICS Property Professional of the Year 2024 and the RICS Valuation Team of the Year 2024.
The evening’s highlight was the recognition of Savills Malaysia group managing director Datuk Paul Khong, who was named RICS Property Professional of the Year 2024. This award celebrates his exceptional leadership and contributions to the property industry, particularly in corporate estate agency, property management and valuations over the past year. Khong’s work reflects the highest standards of professional ethics and excellence.
In addition to this, Savills Malaysia was honoured with the Valuation Team of the Year 2024 award, further solidifying its leadership status in the real estate industry. With over 30 years of experience, the valuation team at Savills Malaysia is a powerhouse of expertise. The team, led by Khong and executive director Marcus Chia, consists of 10 registered valuers and approximately 250 staff members, with 30 professionals in the Capital Valuation and Development (CVD) division.
The team offers a wide array of expert services, including valuations for IPOs, REITs, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, court proceedings and sales and disposal valuations. Having completed valuations exceeding RM200bil, they have been instrumental in significant projects like TRX Exchange 106, Petronas Twin Towers and Merdeka 118.
