KUCHING: Contractors involved in the Sarawak portion of the Pan- Borneo Highway project must improve traffic management and safety at their construction sites, said Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
He told the contractors to buck up following several road accidents.
The contractors were told to improve the road condition at their construction sites such as repairing structural flaws and patching up potholes.
“They must ensure the speed limit and warning signs are clearly visible.
He advised motorists to slow down when passing through the construction zones.
The public can lodge complaints about bad roads or traffic management on the Pan-Borneo Highway Facebook page.
The ministry has set a two-hour response time for every report.
