At the end of Jalan Bangsar is a pedestrian crossing located just opposite Shell petrol station.
Barely 100m away is the recently-renovated, Bangsar LRT station with a state-of-the-art pedestrian bridge to provide a safe spot to cross the road.
My question is why the need for two pedestrian crossings so close to each other?
The somewhat redundant pedestrian crossing at the bottom of the Jalan Bangsar slope does not do anyone any favours.
Worse still, the traffic lights at the pedestrian crossing sometimes go haywire and turn red every two minutes, even with no pedestrians in sight.
I would like to request that the relevant authorities remove the redundant pedestrian crossing in the best interest of everyone.
