Developer aims to set new benchmarks for the industry by introducing the SkyWorld Quality Centre
A home is a haven, a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of life. But what happens when a home is less than perfect? Why do we often hear of people complaining about poor workmanship in their new homes?
The reason is simple: their homes do not meet the industry's benchmark for quality.
About 7,600 developments are constructed every year in Malaysia. Yet only 4.1% of homes have been certified to QLASSIC (Quality Assessment System in Construction) standards, and a mere 0.75% certified to CONQUAS (Construction Quality Assessment) standards.
The SkyWorld Development Group believes in building responsibly and delivering quality "Sky Living" experience in a sustainable environment, so much so it has pledged that all its projects will be certified to QLASSIC or CONQUAS standards of 70% to 80%.
“Growing up, I remember all too well that owning a house is very difficult. In a person’s life, he or she may own only one house. If you don’t give them the best quality, you will affect their lives forever from one generation to the next,” says SkyWorld Development Group founder and group managing director Datuk Ng Thien Phing.
To fulfil expectations of buyers and give them peace of mind, the developer has introduced the SkyWorld Quality Centre which aims to set new benchmarks for the industry.
The centre is the first of its kind in Malaysia and costs over RM3.8mil. With a built-up area of 13,000 sq ft, it houses a lounge, mini-auditorium and a comprehensive show unit that helps visitors understand what is QLASSIC or CONQUAS-compliant finishing.
Here, potential homeowners are taught to look out for the details that matter.
Besides being a sharing hub for SkyWorld business partners and prospective home buyers who want to know more about certified workmanship, the centre doubles up as a training ground for SkyWorld staffs and contractors.
SkyWorld does not only stress the importance of quality homes, it is also striving to put up affordable developments.
SkyAwani3 is part of SkyWorld’s affordable series that offers value for money without compromising on quality and aesthetics. SkyAwani3 aims to achieve at least 70% QLASSIC rating.
SkyWorld’s upcoming development, The Valleys, also features quality finishes and is in compliance with QLASSIC and Green Building Index (GBI) standards.
SkyWorld believes that everyone can and should be able to own a quality home, and it is doing its best to raise the bar on building excellence.
