PANGKOR ISLAND: Property developer Pangkor Venice World (PVW) has solidified its partnership with Archipelago International through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to introduce the first 5-star international brand Grand Aston to the country.
The developer looks to reignite the tourism industry of Pangkor Island with this new venture after the dampening effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent movement control orders (MCOs).
As the only mixed development in Pangkor Island, the project will offer 5-star hotel suites, a duty-free commercial complex, an outdoor and indoor theme park, as well as a broad range of facilities and amenities married with eco-sustainable technologies to future proof it.
Grand Aston, as one of the premier upscale brands in Indonesia, is committed to maintaining the highest guest standards, with a wide range of facilities and uncompromising service for any demanding leisure traveller and foreign tourist looking for a memorable vacation.
“As the first hotel chain in the country under the flagship Grand Aston, this joint venture between PVW Group and Archipelago International will provide a new, unique, and genuine approach to the local market in its design and concept without alienating international visitors,” said PVW in a press statement.
Present to sign the MoU on Oct 2 were PVW group executive director Gordon Chew, Archipelago International president and chief executive officer John Flood, Supreme Group of Companies executive chairman Ong Chin Wei.
PVW and Supreme Group, the joint venture development partner for PVW, are confident that the partnership will boost its global recognition.
