KUALA LUMPUR: WORQ, Malaysia’s leading coworking and flex space provider, has officially launched their 15,000 sq ft new coworking space in Menara UOA Bangsar. This location will serve as a growth hub for global tech startups while giving the local and international community access to a vast business network and robust infrastructure.
Since 2017, WORQ has fostered over 266 startups and 122 tech companies, emerging as the leading coworking space in Malaysia. This collaboration with UOA demonstrates a commitment to position Malaysia as the premier digital hub within the Asean region. Aligned with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation’s (MDEC) Malaysia Digital (MD) initiatives and Pemangkin programme, WORQ hopes to drive the growth of Malaysia's digital economy.
Located in Bangsar, this is the brand’s second outlet in a UOA property following the success of WORQ Subang in UOA Business Park (UBP). This latest outlet achieved 70% occupancy before its launch, following the consistent achievement of their recently launched WORQ KL Sentral.
Ikhlas Capital chairman and founding partner Tan Sri Nazir Razak, who officiated at the launch of the outlet, said: “This is a significant step towards fostering innovation and collaboration in Malaysia’s dynamic business landscape. This is part of a larger national initiative to reinforce Malaysia’s position as a global business hub and attract MNCs to set up regional offices in Malaysia, which contributes significantly to the generation of high-value jobs in the country, especially in the tech and digital sectors. At present, foreign companies building teams in Malaysia make up about 50% of WORQ’s clientele.
