THE attention paid to wellness in Penang’s City of Dreams (COD) begins at the doors of each serviced apartment.
The doors have no head jambs or top walls and are, instead, a neck-craning 3.2m tall from floor to ceiling.
“Doors are not just openings for people. Light and ventilation go through too.
“We want to maximise that factor for residents to tap into natural lighting and better air circulation,” said Zeon Properties Group chief executive officer Leon Lee, whose company is the exclusive marketer of COD, developed by Ewein Zenith.
Even the COD lifts are thoughtfully designed, he said.
While opulently decorated, they are actually stretcher lifts, so seriously ill residents can be transported on stretchers to and from hospital without fuss.
Lee was giving a tour of the show units after presenting developer Ewein Zenith’s RM20,000 sponsorship for The Star Fit For Life Run on Nov 19 at SPICE Arena.
Star Media Group regional operations general manager (north) Simone Liong received the contribution from Lee yesterday.
Lee said this was the third year Ewein Zenith was sponsoring Fit For Life Run to encourage the thousands of Penangites who join each year.
“Exercising is a part of achieving wellness and events like this make running fun.
“It’s different and more exciting when we run in a large group.
“We push each other to go the distance and overcome our limits,” he said.
Other features of COD units that foster well-being include seamless kitchen countertops to reduce bacterial and mold buildup.
The show units are at Menara IJM Land in Lebuh Tunku 3 and can be viewed seven days a week, 10am to 7pm. Call 013-4498888 for an appointment.
