Developer has embarked on various initiatives to attract buyers
KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer UEM Sunrise Bhd is on track to achieve RM1.2bil in sales this year as it has embarked on various initiatives to attract property buyers.
Managing director and chief executive officer Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib said the company has some good deals with its ongoing launches and are working closely with buyers to help secure financing.
Anwar had previously said in an August report that the group hoped to get better clarity in October whether it could achieve the RM1.2bil sales since the developer had initiated various promotional campaigns for upcoming property launches.
“We are on track as we already have some good deals going on, such as incentives and campaigns to attract buyers.
“We have also started a scheme called refresher sum loan, where we help bridge the gap to obtain financing,” Anwar said at the unveiling of UEM Sunrise’s first phase of Residensi Solaris Parq in Mont Kiara yesterday.
Due to present soft market market conditions, Anwar feels that consumers should take advantage of the goodies offered by property developers, since he it is a buyers market now.
As at August, UEM Sunrise’s launched gross development value (GDV) stood at RM23.3bil.
The group has in total 13,202.9 acres of remaining land bank with a GDV of RM109.6bil.
Anwar said the group hopes to reach a 50% take-up rate for Residensi Solaris Parq by year-end.
“This is a premium product and based on our sales campaign last weekend, we are confident of achieving the 50% take-up rate,” Anwar said.
The first phase of Residensi Solaris Parq has a GDV of RM755mil and is part of the overall RM3bil GDV Solaris Parq development that sits on 18.76 acres freehold land within Dutamas area.
The entire development consist of four components, namely Residensi, Galleria, suites and offices.
As the development is located in a prime location and has an uninterrupted view of the Kuala Lumpur city centre, Anwar is optimistic that it will appeal to buyers, especially young professionals between the ages of 25 and 40.
“We are also seeing interest among senior citizens who want to retire in the vicinity of the city,” he said. Residensi Solaris Parq comprises 288 units spread over two towers and offers five different built-ups, ranging from 721 sq ft to 2,469 sq ft.
Prices are from RM873,800 to RM2.97mil.
