PETALING JAYA: UEM Sunrise Bhd (UEM Sunrise) through its wholly-owned subsidiary Nusajaya Rise Sdn Bhd have entered a conditional Sale and Purchase Agreement for the disposal of two parcels of freehold land in Iskandar Puteri for RM144.9mil.
The purchaser is a global data centre player who will be constructing a data centre with cutting edge technology. Located at East Ledang, the land parcels measure 28.9 acres in total.
“Building on a prior memorandum of understanding signed in May with LOGOS Infrastructure Holdco Pte Ltd to develop a data centre campus in Gerbang Nusajaya, this strategic land divestment reaffirms our dedication to supporting Johor's data centre ecosystem, ultimately addressing the global demand for data solutions,” said chief executive officer Suffian Abdullah.
“This divestment and monetisation strategy sets the groundwork for substantial technological, economic and community advancements in Johor,” he added.
