KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer UEM Sunrise celebrated two days of Chinese New Year with local communities around Kepong at the sales gallery of Kiara Bay.
The festival was officiated by UEM Sunrise managing director Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib and Melati Ehsan group chairman Tan Sri Yap Suan Chee, who are the joint developers of the new Kiara Bay township.
“This Chinese New Year, we want to continue our tradition of inspiring joy and happiness to the communities around us. Celebrating each other is the core of Kiara Bay’s DNA, and that is what makes us unique,” said Anwar.
Among the highlights of the event are the acrobatic lion dance performance, followed by songs by local musicians and percussion groups. Food trucks and arts and crafts bazaar are also set up around the park for visitors to enjoy.
Yap commented, “We want this festival to be a place for family and friends to gather over the weekend and enjoy the festive experience while surrounded by nature.”
Kiara Bay is UEM Sunrise’s latest flagship project that is located at the heart of Kepong, one of KL’s earliest townships. This 73-acre integrated development leverages the lake, nature, and active lifestyle coupled with the convenience and connectivity of a vibrant urban environment to create an enjoyable and effortless living.
This place builds on the “urban liveability” concept whereby different aspects of technology, mobility, lifestyle, and sustainability merge to foster an environment for communities to thrive.
