IN conjunction with the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Litrak is offering toll discounts for Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP) and Sprint highway users.
On July 6, starting from 12.01am to 11.59pm, there will be a 60sen discount for all classes of vehicles on LDP and a 20sen discount for all classes on Sprint highway.
It is estimated that almost 492,000 users will benefit from the RM235,000 subsidy.
Litrak group chief executive officer Sazally Saidi said Litrak had spent RM8.6mil on such toll subsidies from 2010 to 2015.
“We run this toll discount campaign during all festive seasons. This is for all highway users and includes all classes of vehicles.
“We also wish all those who will balik kampung a safe journey back,” he said.
The toll discount was launched by Malaysian Highway Authority director-general Datuk Ismail Md Salleh, who lauded Litrak for its efforts.
“It is a very important campaign and on top of this, there will be police officers running operations to ensure the safety of road users on the highway during Hari Raya,” he said.
During the breaking of fast event, 41 children from the Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Bimbingan Baitul Ulfah, Seri Kembangan were given duit raya, donations and taken on a shopping trip as part of the Litrak Ramadan Charity Programme, which cost RM12,000.
Litrak also launched a series of new vehicles for the LDP and Sprint Auxiliary Police Team to ensure the safety of highway users, especially during the festive season.
