PETALING JAYA: Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) is expediting efforts to ensure water supply is restored to areas at the end of the water distribution in the Klang Valley.
In a statement, Syabas said it has achieved 96.8% water supply restoration in affected areas as of 6pm on Sunday (March 11).
Currently, Klang's water supply has been restored to 98.6%, Gombak (98.3%), Kuala Lumpur (97.3%) and Petaling (83.7%).
It added that relief water supply via water tankers would be continuously mobilised to affected areas until water supply is fully restored.
"We fully understand the inconveniences experienced by our customers affected by this and give our assurance and commitment to expedite full supply restoration," it said.
The areas still in the recovery stage are:
Petaling: Taman Impian Indah, PPR Pinggir Bukit Jalil, Taman Aman Sari, Taman Kiara (Taman Mutiara), Hyatt Saujana, Taman Bukit Kuchai, Subang Jaya (SS12 to SS19).
Kuala Lumpur: Bandar Sri Permaisuri, Taman Cahaya, Perumahan Sommerset Close (Jln Yaakob Latiff) and Flat Sri Melaka.
Klang: Parts of Shah Alam (Sect 16, 17, 19, 20, 21 23, 24, 25), parts of Padang Jawa, Telok Menegun, Kg Lombong, Johan Setia and Bukit Kemandol.
Gombak: Bukit Antarabangsa (Puncak Anthenum condo), Kg Indah Permai and Kg Tasik Permai.
Customers can request for relief water by sending SMS to 15300 (Type: Tanker<space>Name & Address).
