PETALING JAYA: Sunsuria Bhd will invest RM100mil in landscape works for its landmark township Sunsuria City, covering individual plot landscape work and township streetscape.
“This investment demonstrates our commitment to the ‘Smart, Livable and Sustainable’ proposition for Sunsuria City, which is a low-carbon and green township,” executive chairman Datuk Ter Leong Yap said in a statement.
Sunsuria said it has entered into a joint-venture (JV) agreement with Savanna Landscaping founder Gan Teck Boon to operate and manage landscape and nursery functions of Sunsuria’s group of businesses.
Under the agreement, Sunsuria’s units, Sunsuria Arena Sdn Bhd and Sunsuria Gateway Sdn Bhd, together with Gan, will set up a JV company, namely, Sunsuria Landscape and Nursery Sdn Bhd, to undertake relevant landscaping work for all properties developed by Sunsuria.
“With Gan’s experience, the JV will achieve operational efficiencies and economies of scale from the potential size of landscaping works. This will enhance our margins in the long run,” Koong said.
