SCORES of buyers grabbed the opportunity to own Hill10 Residence units featured at the three-day StarProperty.my Fair 2017 i-City Edition.

Aireen Nadzleen Abdul Razak said she purchased a unit within Hill10 by I-Bhd for investment purposes.

“I chose it because the location is good and the city has developed well,” she said.

The newest addition to i-City will sit above DoubleTree by Hilton and is equipped with the Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology, a smart home system.

“I plan to convert the unit into a homestay. The IoT system will help me monitor my unit from afar,” he added.

Jerry Axion Raj has been living in the vicinity for 30 years, prompting him to invest in a Shah Alam property.

“I like the fact that the owner can control the home appliances via hand-held devices.

“All the units are also fully furnished so owners can just move in with their luggage,” he added.

During the fair, Huawei Technologies senior business consultant Kwan Kok Foong spoke on how IoT could help simplify and enhance residents’ lives.

“IoT does not only focus on security automation but also home surveillance, featuring 4K video resolution for clearer images,” she said.

Avance Smart Home Sdn Bhd marketing manager Alexandra R. Kumaran highlighted the use of the IoT smart home security system.

“Smart home technology can cater to all needs, especially when it comes to home security, adding value to one’s property,” said Kumaran.

“We have also introduced an SOS button for elderly people to use during an emergency, whereby a notification will be sent to a smartphone to activate its camera,” she added.

Other speakers included Living Space managing director Ikhram Merican, The 925 Group founder Mark Chua and Henry Butcher chief operating officer Tang Chee Meng.

The fair was jointly organised by Star Media Group Bhd and I-Bhd, and was held at the i-Gallery of i-City, Shah Alam.

The event was also the second to feature the StarProperty.my Win A Home (W.A.H) Contest in which buyers have a chance to win a home worth more than half a million ringgit in Section 13, Petaling Jaya.
