PETALING JAYA: Since its official launch recently, SkyWorld Development Group Sdn Bhd (SkyWorld) continues its efforts to promote the innovative #DaretoCare charity drive.
According to the statement, since December, SkyWorld has been receiving hundreds of encouraging supports from various donors and last Friday, Lions Club jumped on board by donating 20 sets of school bags packed with new school shoes, socks and pencil boxes.
Present to receive the donation on behalf of SkyWorld was Lee Chee Seng, chief operating officer (COO), while Lions Club was represented by Lions Club Puchong president Ling Sew Chin.
The donation was witnessed by representatives of Star Media Group – Lydia Wang, Deputy Senior GM Business Development and Loo Phan Kooi, Special Officer to Group CEO.
“A big part of our job, as a KL-centric city developer is to transform the city into a better place by providing a sustainable Sky Living experience,” said Lee.
“We want to live by our motto of transforming the city and what better way than to promote this #DaretoCare charity drive in our aim to transform the lives of the underprivileged society. We are thankful many Malaysians have stepped up to donate, and today, we received such meaningful contributions from Lions Club,” he added.
The #DaretoCare campaign will see the distribution of 50,000 Star newspapers, enveloped in eye-catching collectable brown paper bags, in selected areas within the Klang Valley on Jan 13, 2018.
The public is encouraged to fill the brown bags with items from the suggested list needed by the underprivileged homes. They can also leave heartfelt and encouraging messages on the back of the paper bag to brighten up the recipients’ day.
The donated items will then be collected and distributed to the selected homes within the Klang Valley region. For more details, check out SkyWorld website www.skyworld.my/#daretocare
