PETALING JAYA – SkyWorld Development Group recently celebrated its two achievements of completing phase 1 of SkyArena’s Ascenda Residence ahead of schedule, and a major upgrading of infrastructure surrounding SkyArena development and Setapak area.

According to the statement, the upgrading work will be done in collaboration with Kuala Lumpur City Hall.

Setiawangsa MP Datuk Ahmad Fauzi Bin Zahari said Setapak is a well-known suburb with popular destination and institutions such as Zoo Negara, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, University Technology Malaysia and the Columbia Hospital.

“With its strategic location, Setapak is truly a gem in the making and SkyWorld will transform Setapak to be the next pulse featuring its modern designer towers and unique multi-story state-of-the-art sports facilities,” he added.

SkyWorld group managing director Datuk Ng Thien Phing said with the new infrastructure expansion plan, which includes a new one-km flyover from Jalan Genting Kelang into Jalan Ayer Jerneh and the 100-feet road widening initiatives along Jalan Ayer Jerneh, the traffic flow will improve and provide the Setapak community easier access to Duke highway.

“The 28-acre SkyArena integrated city development was unveiled in 2014. Its first phase known as Ascenda Residence received very good respond and to-date, it has recorded an impressive 95% take-up,” he said during the “Topping Off ceremony” a few days ago.

Present at the ceremony was DBKL Executive Director (Planning) Datuk Hj Mohd Najib, SkyWorld deputy group managing director Lam Soo Keong, chief operating officer Lee Chee Seng and chief financial officer Siew Chee Seng.
