PENANG: More than 500 Penangites thronged Setia Welcome Centre, SPICE Penang as it played host to Setia’s inaugural Perfect Reunion CNY 2017 Celebration, the first of the three planned celebrations leading to the Lunar New Year festival.
This year, Setia decided to celebrate the year of the golden rooster with some of Astro’s celebrities. In Penang, Emely Poon and Catherine Ang who are MyFM radio channel DJs were the emcees for the star-studded Saturday affair.
Other celebraties such as Geraldine Gan, Danny Koo, Nicole Lai, Denise Camillia, Beta, Ezy and Apple Kho belted out songs including ‘团满团圆饭’ , Me Too, ‘你爱我’, ‘一个人的冒险’, ‘裙下之臣’ and many more.

The guests were also invited to go up on stage to participate in special games together with their favorite celebrities.
Setia’s Chinese New Year theme for this year is ‘家圆人圆’ which means a home is made complete when all family members reunite. Besides the events planned, special Setia’s limited edition Ang Pows with this meaningful theme featured were given away to the guests.
Special activities were also arranged for this event which includes rainbow calligraphy, dough doll-making, fortune telling and caricature drawings.
Many were seen queuing up to enjoy these activities throughout the event. Young children were enthralled by the God of Prosperity who gave out mandarin oranges and Setia’s ang pows.
Setia staff who were also giving out winter melon candy, honey maltose sweets and candied haw on a stick; all traditional Chinese culture candies enjoyed by the young ones and those young at heart.
To make this year even more memorable, Setia teamed up with Astro to produce limited edition plush toys in which, eight lucky winners won during the event.
The next Setia’s Perfect Reunion CNY 2017 Celebration will be held on 14th January 2017, Saturday at Setia Tropika Welcome Centre in Johor and thereafter the third and final event will be held at Setia City Convention Centre, Setia Alam, Selangor on 21st January 2017.
