PETALING JAYA: IOI Properties Group Bhd (IOI Properties) has recently announced its expansion and upgrading plans for the Bandar Puteri Puchong Interchange (BPP Interchange).
This RM20mil project is conducted in two stages and is wholly-funded and constructed by IOI Properties to enhance the connectivity of the township and to improve traffic flow between Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP) and Bandar Puteri Puchong.
According to statement, the first stage of works which consists of the widening of roads at Lebuh Puteri has been completed in April 2017. The Group will proceed to the second stage of works which requires the BPP interchange to be closed to traffic coming from USJ, Shah Alam, Putra Heights and Putrajaya.
Upgrading works at BPP Interchange (Q3 2017 – Q4 2018)
- The existing ramp from LDP to Bandar Puteri (Putrajaya/Shah Alam/Putra Heights/USJ bound to BPP Interchange) will be temporarily closed from 23 September 2017 until end December 2018.
- Existing left-in junction into LDP from Jalan TPP 1/1 will be temporarily closed.
- U-turn for local traffic underneath the BPP Interchange will be temporarily closed.
Traffic from Putrajaya to Bandar Puteri Puchong
- Exit from LDP at the Puchong Perdana traffic light junction, turn right and proceed to Jalan PPU 1 , OR
- U-turn in front of Tesco Puchong
Traffic from Shah Alam/ Putra Heights/ USJ to Bandar Puteri Puchong
- Take exit 1119 Puchong Intan interchange on LDP. At the Puchong Perdana traffic light junction, turn left and proceed to Jalan PPU 1, OR
- U-turn in front of Tesco Puchong
Traffic from Taman Perindustrian Puchong (TPP) into LDP
- To use the new alternative road alongside the LRT track and in front of the Castlefield Tamil School to enter LDP. Heavy vehicles are advised to follow directional signage to enter LDP via Jalan Sri Puchong 1.
