TWO new Smart Selangor MPSJ Bus routes have been launched in Kinrara and Puchong.
The buses plying Route 2 and 3 will begin their journey from the Pusat Bandar Puchong LRT Station.
Route 2 links Pusat Bandar Puchong to places such as 3C Complex, Sunway Medical Centre and SS18 LRT station as well as Inti College in Subang Jaya. It is expected to see a high ridership as currently there is no bus service between Puchong and Subang Jaya.
Route 3 will integrate the LRT stations with residential areas.
The routes were launched by Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) president Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan. Servicing the two routes are four buses each, at a cost of RM2.51mil.

Present at the launch were Selangor state executive councillor Datuk Teng Chang Khim, Subang Jaya assemblyman Hannah Yeoh and Kinrara assemblyman Ng Sze Han, MPSJ management and councillors.
The Smart Selangor MPSJ Bus, formerly known as Selangorku Bus MPSJ, aims to integrate the free bus service with other transportation modes such as the Sunway BRT as well as Kelana and Ampang LRT lines.
Route 1 was introduced in July last year by the state government to improve public transportation in Selangor.
Having a free bus service has encouraged the use of public transport services in Subang Jaya, as MPSJ corporate communications officer Muhammad Azli Miswan said the response to Route 1 was overwhelming.
He said this supported the council’s move towards transforming Subang Jaya into a low-carbon city as part of its MPSJ Green City 2030 plan.
