PROPERTY developer IJM Land Bhd held a Red Rooster Celebration at ICE Gallery, Pantai Sentral Park in Kuala Lumpur to welcome the Year of the Fire Rooster as well as to showcase the upcoming township.
Many fun and exciting activities such as tea appreciation, tea leaf reading, Chinese hand fan painting, rooster clay-making and lucky draws were lined up for the guests.
Property owners and visitors alike gathered at the entrance of the show gallery to watch an acrobatic lion dance performed by World Lion Dance Championship 2016 winner Kun Seng Keng and Dragon Dance Association Muar. Then everyone enjoyed a 2m-long prosperity yee sang dish.
The God of Prosperity put in an appearance, accompanied by a rooster mascot, and handed out mandarin oranges and ang pow.
Businessman and customer, Yong Chin Kim, 47, said he was glad to have spent a Sunday afternoon with his family at the event.
“I came here mainly to check on the progress of IJM Land’s property developments in Pantai Sentral Park, as well as their progress in general.
“My wife and children enjoyed themselves with the activities that IJM Land has prepared. My daughter, especially, enjoyed the rooster clay-making activity.
“I’ll be looking forward to attending this event next year with my family,” said Chin.
The visitors were joined by IJM Land managing director Edward Chong, IJM Corporation Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Soam Heng Choon, IJM Land property development senior general manager Datuk Hoo Kim See and Pantai Sentral Park sales and marketing manager Grace Foo.
The company also hosted a “Big Fun Day” to celebrate the festive season at Bandar Rimbayu, Shah Alam.
Chong said they hosted these events in various locations to cater to people in different parts of the Klang Valley.
“We have been doing these celebrations consistently for years.
“The main objective is to expose Pantai Sentral Park to the public while celebrating the festive season together with the community. We, at IJM Land, believe that we are not building houses, but building homes,” he stressed.
Pantai Sentral Park, dubbed “Kuala Lumpur’s One and Only Urban Forest City”, is a 23ha township next to an 80ha forest park in Bukit Kerinchi.
The township is strategically located between Kuala Lumpur city centre, Bangsar and Petaling Jaya.
“Pantai Sentral Park aims to promote the idea of spending time together in a complete yet modern township, equipped with facilities and amenities that are essential for everyday living in the 21st century,” said Foo.
“We will continue to encourage connections with more exciting events in the future, while ensuring our residents have the chance to live life to the fullest,” she added.
The development is expected to be completed within the next 10 to 15 years.
